Privacy

Your information, plainly.

This covers ancientdesigns.org, our marketing site. It’s written to be read. If anything here is unclear, email hello@ancientdesigns.org and a person will answer.

What we collect

Only what you choose to send us. If you use the contact form or apply for a role, we receive the details you type: your name, email, organization, role, message, and any links you include. To help stop spam and abuse, our servers also record the approximate technical details of the request (your IP address and browser user-agent) alongside your submission.

We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or profiling scripts on this site, and we don’t set non-essential cookies.

Why we hold it, and for how long

We use what you send for one purpose: to read it and reply, and to keep a record of our correspondence with you. We keep submissions as long as they’re useful to that conversation, and remove them when they’re not or when you ask.

Who sees it

The people at Ancient Designs who work on the thing. We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it for anyone else’s marketing. We use a small number of service providers to run the studio, for example a transactional email provider to deliver our replies, and they only ever see what’s needed to do that job.

What you can ask for

  • A copy of what we hold about you.
  • A correction, if something’s wrong.
  • Deletion: we’ll remove your submission and confirm.

Write to hello@ancientdesigns.org for any of these. There’s no form to fight and no fee.

Our products

This policy is about the marketing site. The software we build for parishes and other institutions, such as Symphonia, handles its members’ data under its own agreements, and is designed so the institution owns and can export its records at any time. That’s a promise we take seriously, and it’s covered where those products live.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update it here. Questions are always welcome.
